"I have known Sheena since she started as a firefighter with the Omaha Fire Department in 2008. Since then, I have known her to be passionate and  motivated about finding ways to better her knowledge, skills, and abilities so that she can

help the organization achieve its mission of service to the community. She has also branched out into many different aspects of emergency services beyond fire protection and emergency medical services, including community risk reduction, public education, and fire/arson investigation. Sheena has displayed the traits of a true leader through her tireless advocacy for diversity in the workplace and the value that different people with different life experiences and perspectives bring to the organization.
